YMMV / Pixel Perfect

  • Hilarious in Hindsight: A movie about a holographic teen singing sensation. Skip ahead to 2013...
  • Hollywood Science: HOO BOY.
    • Holograms are projections of light. They cannot be destroyed (partially or fully) by going into a place that cannot sustain the image (i.e. outside), much like a movie on the silver screen is not destroyed if it is projected onto thin air.
    • Holograms are merely avatars. Even if it were somehow possible to "damage" or "destroy" holograms, it would have absolutely no effect on the actual program. The data for the 3D model would remain intact; it should never be necessary to remodel anything unless you forget to save.
  • Tearjerker:
    • Sam has to spend the movie watching the boy she loves fall for a hologram. The little looks of disappointment she gives Roscoe throughout the film are hard to watch. When she does confess her feelings for Roscoe, he still seems too absorbed with finding Loretta, much to her dismay.
    • Loretta routinely laments throughout the film that she can't feel anything, even after Roscoe tries his best to explain it to her. It's that moment when he realizes that the feelings he's developed for her are impossible to reciprocate.
    • Sam tries to take Loretta's place and do her trademark acrobatics, but ends up severely injuring herself and is hospitalized.
    • Loretta's death, becoming the group's guardian angel.
