** Many of Felix's earlier gaming videos and playthroughs became this in light of his "Forced Positivity on [=YouTube=]" video where he explains that he faked much of his enthusiasm because he figured that many people on [=YouTube=] were drawn to positivity, admitting that it was exhausting at times to keep it up, especially with games he didn't enjoy. Needless to say, it made his shying away from gaming content make a lot more sense.
** The "Subscribe to [=PewDiePie=]" meme became a lot less funny when a gunman referenced it right before committing a livestreamed terror attack at a mosque in New Zealand.
** "Congratulations" has a line where Felix says, "I'm 'bout to cause a genocide so you can call me [Hitler]". The song was made in December 2018 and the line mocks comparisons between him and Hitler, but if he had made it after the New Zealand shooting (when it was released), he probably would've avoided references to him causing any type of genocide.

His cover not only dwarfs an earlier posting of the song by almost 9X, but the WebAnimation/KizunaAI channel did a cover of the song, outright saying it was inspired by ''Felix''.

His reputation was further tarnished from him using the N-word during a livestream, badmouthing ''Bear Simulator'' so much that the developer quit making games because of "drama" from the game, having Creator/BenShapiro guest-star on Meme Review (who, outside of the [[MemeticMutation memes]] about him, is himself controversial for his traditionalist conservative views and activism), and shouting out [=ER=], a [=YouTube=] channel featuring offensive and politically-charged humor, among nearly 20 other channels. Things got even worse when the white supremacist perpetrators of the 2019 Christchurch massacre endorsed him while livestreaming the atrocity. While he has since toned down his behavior and apologized, he remains controversial outside of his fanbase, and you'd be hard-pressed to find an article on him after 2017 that fails to mention his controversies.

He concluded that the only reason things go on as it is now is that the intended target (the concerned individuals and the media) are feeding the trolls with the outrage and start accusing people who did the gesture innocently, and as such, a minority of actual white supremacist start using it for dogwhistling because the outrage indirectly helps them to get a stronger holding. Pewds ends the video by suggesting that everyone shouldn't be very upset about such shenanigans and accusing people of signaling hate, while at the same time not acting like a troll and spamming the symbol to garner hate and outrage.
