** Admittedly, Paige couldn't have known about Wrestling/SummerRae getting in Wrestling/SashaBanks's head, but after soundly beating Sasha (leaving her devastated and visibly upset), trying to console her and insisting on a handshake was ''not'' a good idea. Given that Paige was known for being an antisocial loner, Sasha may well have thought that Paige was trying to rub in the victory (even though she was probably just trying to be a graceful winner).
** Loses a title match against Divas Champion [[Wrestling/BellaTwins Nikki Bella]] because she [[TwinSwitch switched out]] with Brie, who had been hiding under the ring. (Also doesn't notice the difference between the now very conspicuously different-looking Bella Twins, who aren't even dressed the same.) Has an interview talking about how the Bellas have used aforementioned Twin Magic to undeservedly win matches for years and vowing to put a stop to them. Takes absolutely ''no precautions'' against it happening again, doesn't realize anything is wrong when Nikki comes out ''sans'' Brie their next title match, and again fails to notice when Twin Magic is pulled, only realizing it when Brie starts unstuffing her top and flashing her pelvic tattoo. Paige, c'mon, what were you thinking?

* HeartwarmingInHindsight: The part of the documentary where she tearfully says goodbye to her parents before heading off to Florida. It's heartwarming now that she became the first NXT Women's Champion and has become a star already. Having to leave her family was all worth it after all. In the same documentary, while training at FCW, she expresses a slight disappointment about the emphasis on looks in women's wrestling. She says she hopes she can get people to appreciate the actual wrestling a lot more. The NXT women's division eventually became an EnsembleDarkhorse for the company and is routinely praised every week. So she ended up becoming part of a division that is very much appreciated for the quality of its wrestling. UpToEleven once she became the Divas' Champion on the night of her debut. With one main roster show under her belt (no pun intended) and at age 22, she is, for all intents and purposes, ([[Wrestling/AJLee almost]]) on top of the women's wrestling world.

* UncannyValley:
** Thanks to how pale she is compared to her opponents, coupled with the bright lights in the arenas making her look even more pale.
** From her return until her official retirement, she usually looked like she'd been shot full blast by the makeup gun (such as the "Paitch Face" mentioned above). Considering that around the same time she was posting much better looking photos on Instagram whenever not on TV, the general theory is that WWE's current "Glam Squad" makeup team is just awful at doing makeup on any skin shade that isn't AmbiguouslyBrown.

* FanPreferredCouple: A lot of people liked to ship her with Wrestling/TheShield boys, especially Wrestling/SethRollins. Similar tastes, looks, and it helps that Seth and Paige were supposed to have a romantic storyline in FCW that never materialized. When she ''isn't'' shipped with Seth, she's shipped with Wrestling/RomanReigns, as a shipmate to the popular FoeYay pairing Ambrollins (Wrestling/DeanAmbrose[=/=]Seth Rollins).

** A video from a promo class saw her trying to make nice to Wrestling/{{Bayley}} by dressing exactly like her and imitating her - only to get annoyed when Bayley rejected her. Already funny, it becomes hilarious with the knowledge that her feud with AJ Lee went exactly like that.
** In a darkly hilarious way, the reveal of new NXT title belts happening a few weeks after the nude photos leak, making it look like they rushed to get rid of the old Women's belt design after finding out what Paige and Wrestling/BradMaddox did to it.

** One of her signature moves definitely counts: she crawls over and on top of a Diva like she is going to ravish them...then [[HardHead *WHACK.]] [[UseYourHead *WHACK.]] [[GirlyBruiser *WHACK.]]

* MisBlamed: She catches a lot of heat from fans for the [[SpeakIllOfTheDead Reid Flair line]], but it wasn't her call. Rather, WWE was trying to garner some sympathy for Wrestling/CharlotteFlair after her face character failed to take off opposite the much (at the time) better-liked Paige. They also failed to ask permission or even ''inform'' Wrestling/{{Ric|Flair}} or Reid's mother, which was even worse.
* {{Narm}}: When she was stripped of her NXT title. She's initially angry, refusing to give up the title she fought for and rightly won, and then all of a sudden her reaction changes to 'OK, if it's for the good of NXT, I'll do it'. Not only is it a 180 that comes out of nowhere, it's also very out of character, especially since she just said that she was refusing to give up the title. (The acting wasn't exactly top-notch, either.)
* NeverLiveItDown:
** It seems doubtful that she'll live down the Reid Flair comment. It might die down a bit as time goes by, but probably never disappear fully.
** The release[=/=]leak of some of her, uh... 'behind the scenes videos' from her FCW[=/=]NXT days.

* NoYay: Internet fans are not happy that in real life she hooked up with Wrestling/AlbertoDelRio. [[CatchPhrase But of course you already knew that.]]
* TheScrappy: To ''Tough Enough'' fans, who find her to be too harsh on the contestants, extremely rude to the other judges who are Hall of Famers and completely insufferable. Many people hold her to this just over the Reid Flair controversy.

What's more is that she was the only Diva consistently pushed as a face, with literally the entire division going through a FaceHeelRevolvingDoor to accommodate her. [[labelnote:Ironically]] she would later cycle through the same revolving door to match the main roster storylines of her PCB teammates and NXT successors, but yeah.[[/labelnote]] She was also still pushed when she couldn't appear on Smackdown — due to acting as a judge on ''Tough Enough''. As such her universal popularity from NXT gave way to extreme BaseBreakingCharacter status. While she receives good reactions from fans in the arenas, online she sparks a polarizing reaction (with the only universally hated thing being the Reid Flair remark). There seems to be very little middle ground involving her.

Before she'd even joined the main roster, she tended to be talked about on various news sites (at a time when Divas were usually ignored) and had a lot of male fans. To make matters worse, TMZ recorded audio of Del Rio and Paige arguing at an airport, with police now being involved in an investigation. In an interview with Heavy.com after the incident, the witness said Paige blamed Del Rio for being verbally and physically abusive to her, as well as ruining her career. However, it should be noted Del Rio also claimed Paige was abusive to him.
