* RealWomenDontWearDresses: Respect isn't very high for women that box or wrestle in Malarky County, and Bandit gets badly injured trying to defend the honor of a female boxer named Sierra.
** On the bright side, she was touched that he made the attempt.
** And at least he managed to flatten the guy once -- a pretty impressive feat when the male chauvinist in question is Gus Guntrie, formerly a central villain of the strip who could take on both Tod boys at once.

* UnintentionallySympathetic: The transwoman in the dress who gets her testicles crushed when she tries to go into the ladies' restroom. We're meant to think that she's a pervert who's trying to sneak into the wrong gender's restroom, but she instead comes off as a victim, both of an aggravated assault and of society refusing to recognize her decision to transition.
* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: The janitor who pinches the aforementioned transwoman's testicles. We're meant to think that he's protecting "actual" women from a sexual predator, but to some commenters, he comes off as a self-righteous, transphobic jerk who should have been arrested.

*** Given the author's female characters are generally portrayed very positively -- other examples include a WrenchWench in ''Webcomic/TalesOfTheQuestor'' and a girl genius in his short-lived superhero comic Fellowship Of Heroes -- it's pretty much ValuesDissonance with Feminism, specially radical feminism, which is discussed and deconstructed in the strip.

** Admittedly, the fact that she (giving the individual the benefit of the doubt) is headed into a gas station restroom right behind a small female child is still slightly questionable, since most gas station restrooms are single-occupancy.

** Admittedly, given the woman was heading into the gas station restroom after a little girl despite some gas station restrooms are single-occupancy would give cause for alarm. So if she was a sexual predator, his actions would RightForTheWrongReasons at best.

All of the other recurring characters in the strip have had at least one victory, Gus Guthrie included; Gilly isn't even allowed to make bad jokes without immediate punishment. Gilly has even acquired a small, sympathetic following among the readers since the writer started introducing new characters to beat him up.
