YMMV / 911 Operator

Go To

  • Even Better Sequel: The second game, 112 Operator, has more content and retains everything from the first game.
  • Moral Event Horizon: Some of the criminals can cross this. An example being an abusive ex boyfriend who can break into his ex girlfriend's apartment, steal her gun, and attack the police with it when they come to arrest him.
  • Nightmare Fuel: A completely random event that can occur is a warehouse fire. The warehouse fire is bad enough, but if you can't get it there on time, the whole building blows up and sets every single building around it on fire as well-any attempts to put it out prove fruitless because after one is put out, it seems like three others crop up. If you don't have many resources on hand when it happens, the only thing you can do is restart the duty or call reinforcements, as the fire's otherwise too big for you to handle.
    • In Career Mode, there will be a big disaster in the second or third duty depending on the city. In San Francisco is massive earthquake, that will reduce the city to rubble. For Detroit it's a massive fire caused by the explosion of a fireworks warehouse. For Washington DC is a series of politically motivated acts that will range to sending poisonous mail sent to a paper, to the bombing of various locations in the city.
      • If the Warehouse fire doesn't get any worse by itself, the consequences aren't pretty. The caller's a watchman, and should you advise him to turn on the fire alarm (or take just about any emergency procedure), he will be killed. Otherwise, if he is told to immediately flee the area, he survives, but two additional people are injured. After the call you'll get a chain of other calls associated with the fire even if you somehow managed to eliminate it beforehand.
      • You can't stop the poisonous mail or the bombings themselves, but you can dispatch firefighters to handle that since decontamination and bomb defusal are both considered tech work, which they excel at.
    • The Last Duty. A concert ends in terror as a frenzied person bites several victims. It only gets worse from here.
    • The "Undercover Pizza" call where a woman pretends to be ordering a pizza to try to get you to send police to help her. At first it seems funny, but once you realize she's speaking in code...
  • Paranoia Fuel: Turning on The Last Duty in the free play mode - all you're told is that the Zombie Apocalypse will eventually come after you unlock all the districts, but other than that, it's completely random as to when it will happen, leaving you wondering each day if things will go downhill or not.
  • Tear Jerker: The random event where a father calls 911 when he finds his daughter dead after a drug overdose
