- Questionable Casting: Mick Jagger as Ned Kelly, which happened because of a producer mandate as he was interested in starting an acting career. Casting a British actor as a second-generation Australian isn't a bad choice, but Ned Kelly was famously of Irish descent, and Jagger's Fake Irish accent is noticeable. The director's first choice for the role was Ian McKellen, who actually does have distant Irish heritage via his great grandfather, and easily would've been a more sensible choice for the role.
