YMMV / Mystery Science Theater 3000 S12 E05: Killer Fish

• Harsher in Hindsight: There's a scene where the riff "Come into the light" accompanies a scene of the model, played by Margaux Hemingway, who was also a model. It seems awkward considering that, like her grandfather, she committed suicide at 42 in 1996.
• Spiritual Successor: While the two films are not identical, Killer Fish is a bit like season 9's Devil Fish, mainly because of the marine setting.
• Special Effect Failure: Gypsy's line "She can walk, it's a miracle" was somehow left out on the season's initial release, though oddly enough not Tom's gasp at the same time. It was fixed after a few weeks.
