• Ensemble Dark Horse: While every character in the show/manga seems to be beloved by the fandom, Hakutou is a special case because in spite of simply being Shirosaki's pet cat, he's the second most popular character going some anime sites behind Shirosaki himself.
• Moe:
  • Hakutou is adored both in and out-universe for being an immensely Cute Kitten. His Verbal Tic and the fact that he's voiced by Hiro Shimono also adds to his adorable appeal.
  • Shirosaki is already regarded In-Universe as Endearingly Dorky, but he was nothing short of precious when he was a child.
• Realism-Induced Horror: While the series is a Work Com with no shortage of funny or heartwarming moments, Momose's life in his last job is always portrayed in a horrifying light, especially since such horrible and abusive bosses can actually exist in real life. Case in point, each time a flashback is shown of how Momose is treated by his boss, it's never Played for Laughs.
• Sweet Dreams Fuel: The show is a very relaxed series about the silly shenanigans of the titular boss as he forms meaningful friendships with his juniors, with two of them (Momose and Kinjō) suffering severe harassment from old bosses. It's the perfect show to watch while you unwind from a hard day of work.
