• Accidental Aesop: Just because one kind of friend is nice to you doesn't mean they will necessarily be nice to your other friend. Rarity, Pinkie Pie and Applejack each admit that although they are friends with the respective experts, they didn't foresee them disregarding their friend Fluttershy's input.
• Ensemble Dark Horse: Many viewers took a liking to Lola the sloth, due to a particularly adorable scene where she hugs Fluttershy's leg.
• So Okay, It's Average: The general reaction. Aside from Fluttershy's assertive behavior, most fans say there was really nothing remarkable about this episode otherwise due to its overly simple plot, the unceremonious jettison of Hard Hat, Wrangler, and Dandy Grandeur (when they could've learned a lesson) with some fans seeing it as more of a 22-minute showcase of how much of a badass Fluttershy is, but coming at the expense of characters and interesting storytelling.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: Some fans feel that Wrangler, Hard Hat and Dandy Grandeur could have returned to learn a lesson about properly working with a client with a certain vision, and that them being experts in their own fields does not mean that they get to override their client's decisions, instead of being fired and disappearing from the plot entirely midway through the episode.
• Unexpected Character:
  • When Fluttershy brings in another expert to fix the mess the first three made, the last pony anyone expected was Big Daddy McColt from "The Hooffields and McColts".
  • Doctor Fauna may also count, since she hadn't appeared since "Secret of My Excess".
