• Alternative Character Interpretation: Akuma. To say anything else would be a semi-major spoiler.
• Awesome Music: Tekken 5's Moonlit Wilderness (Ken vs. Raiden from 1), E.S. Posthumus' Pompeii (Ryu vs. Scorpion from 2), and Tekken 5's Hall of Fate (Akuma vs. Chameleon from 3)
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Raiden being mean and assholish makes more sense if you played any canonical MK game starting with Mortal Kombat: Deception.
  • In MK vs SF 3, Chameleon's ice klone are being used as projectile, in Mortal Kombat X Sub Zero has a variation where he can throw his ice klone and can be use as a sort of barrier. Also, on one occasion, Shin lvl 2 Akuma does a hurricane kick to fly to the next floor of Shao Kahn's fortress. Guess what happened in Street Fighter IV?

• Ron the Death Eater: Not exclusive to just this series, but a frequent complaint is that the Mortal Kombat characters are immediately presented as evil with few shades of grey simply because they come from the more violent fighting game series. The best the MK side has to offer is Liu Kang, who gets one-shotted by accident by Ryu, and Chameleon, who is only there to avenge his buddy Scorpion (which is justified; after all, Akuma did kill him in the previous episode).
