• Germans Love David Hasselhoff:
  • Arabs love Mischevious Twins, or as it is known there, التؤمان. It's to the point most rips of it are in the Arabic dub and searching up the series on YouTube will lead you to a lot of Arab comments.
  • Given that the original books were big there, it's no surprise this anime did well in Germany. The name of the series was also renamed to Hanni and Nanni, like the German dub of the books.
• Retroactive Recognition: In the Arabic dub, Janet is voiced by Nadira Emran. Emran would go on to play the headmistress in Al Rawabi School For Girls.
• Values Dissonance: Colin decides to play pretend, and he chooses to pretend he's an Indian chief. He wears a crude feather crown and begins acting brattish and rowdy Noble Savage. If this was aired today, it would have been reviled for being a racist depiction of Native Americans.
