• Awesome Music: Where do we even start? Ultravox albums four to seven; his first two solo albums; the first two Visage albums...
• Creator Worship: Amongst New Romantic/New Wave fans, he gets a ton of this for basically kickstarting the genres. Being a good-looking Nice Guy doesn't hurt.
• Narm: Given how melodramatic his songs tend to be, this happens quite a bit. "Dancing With Tears In My Eyes", despite being a nuclear paranoia song, is mocked for it's title alone.
• Narm Charm: His career, especially under Ultravox, is built on this; yes, it's over-dramatic, but so masterfully sung and composed it just works.
