- Scrappy Mechanic: Metal Max 2 introduces some items of a parasitic nature in which they will unexpectedly appear in your inventory at random and are a completely useless annoyance that only exists to inconvenience you. And in the remake, the Gum has been scrapped and the later two can be removed with a Car Wash Mop, which is obtained by accumulating enough Stamps from selling items in the garage of Mado.
- Gum: Sticks to one character and takes up an item slot. Can be cleaned away with pine soap.
- Bird Crap: Sticks to vehicles and takes up an item slot. Can be removed with a car wash.
- Lead Deposit: Sticks to vehicles and takes up an item slot while increasing their weight by 0.01t. Can be removed with a car wash.
