YMMV / Mario Pinball Land

Go To

  • Scrappy Mechanic:
    • The game only has one very volatile save file that completely disappears if you click on New Game instead of Continue in the title screen.
    • The game has an annoying tendency to completely reset a table's status if Mario leaves it even for a moment. You can clear a playfield's enemies and have a star waiting, then get an unlucky bounce that sends Mario out of a door to a different table — and when you return to the original field, you have to fight the enemies all over again.
  • Shocking Moments: Nobody really expected this Mario pinball spin-off game not developed by Nintendo to appear as a microgame in WarioWare: Move It! so many years after its release.
  • Suspiciously Similar Song: The music that plays during Tutankoopa's boss battle has a similar progression to that of the boss theme from Final Fantasy IV. Notably, this theme had gotten a straight-up remix in a prior Mario game.
  • Visual Effects of Awesome: The Prerendered Graphics of Mario Pinball Land pull off the effect of 3D so convincingly, that on top of being one of the best looking games on the Game Boy Advance, it could pass for a Nintendo DS game without a second screen.
