• Anvilicious: Magilumere promotes concepts such as "have a Support Party Member", "ensure public's and own workers' safety", and "adapt to the threat on-site", which everyone else finds novel, bizarre, or pointless. While there are deeper reasons behind the pushback of the Alice System, Magilumere being explicitly the only company out of a thousand in 10 years to be bothered by collateral damage and still becoming relatively successful isn't a subtle message why safety protocols and regulations are commonplace in real life.
• What Do You Mean, It's Not Political?:
  • The story has a noticeable anti-libertarian bias. The main conflict in a broader scale revolves around a political topic where the heroes heavily oppose the de-regulation of the use of magic power, pointing out the long-term negative effects of it. All antagonists seem to work for de-regulation, and a lot of them use underhanded methods to prove the efficiency of their method.
  • Large corporations being strongly opposed to doing any research to reduce the amount of residual magic they create that Kaii can feed on, due to it allegedly not being profitable, is a possible parallel to real world energy monopolies who downplay the amount of pollution they produce.
