• Values Dissonance: There are a few quite moments in the game that, while supposed to be comedic, very decisively dates the game's humor to the early 90's, and come across as rather problematic to a more modern audience.
  • The mandatory encounter with Shablee is a particular kind of Black Comedy that wouldn't really swing after it was released It revolves around a combination of Unsettling Gender-Reveal, Black Comedy Rape, and Double Standard: Rape, Male on Male, with Shablee revealed as actually being a transvestite something that causes Larry to start spitting and gagging in disgust, before she implicitly rapes him off-screen. Perhaps it's made a bit less bad since Shablee might have misinterpreted Larry's reaction (he goes from sitting next to her and making out to turning away from her and spitting while on his hands and knees, with his ass suddenly facing her), but still. It goes without saying that the LGBT community doesn't like the associations that this "joke" has. The design document claims Shablee is a cross-dressed gay man, but game designers in 1993 knowing the difference? Yeah right.
    • It also doesn't help that Shablee also lies to Larry and conceals his identity. Larry spends the whole time thinking that Shablee is actually a woman, so Larry's reaction, while rather overly dramatic, is at the very least understandable, coming from someone who was caught by surprise and is rather understandably in shock, and the fact that Larry is not interested in those kinds of relationships, being heterosexual, doesn't help. With this in mind, this is a VERY bad stereotype that portrays those who are members of the LGBT community as dishonest and willing to rape someone for their own pleasure.
  • Larry's encounter with Thunderbird should also be brought into discussion as well! As Thunderbird literally manipulates Larry to come back to her room and, after revealing herself to be a dominatrix, forces him into submission, places a dog collar on him, and then proceeds to makes him crawl on his hands and knees in a circle repeatedly while whipping his backside! This is indeed rather bad, due to this encounter involving deception and also happening against a person's own will, rather than being consensual.
    • Not helped that this moment is meant to be Played for Laughs, when it's actually assault. Double Standard: Abuse, Female on Male in play.
