• Awesome Music: Beginning with Greg Kinnear's run, and for the rest of the series (even the repackaged SCTV reruns!), the show would open with this amazing theme written and composed by brothers Dave and Jeff Koz. It sounds like something David Letterman's "World's Most Dangerous Band" would come up with.
• They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: People didn't exactly care for the tweak from one-on-one conversation with no audience to another run-of-the-mill late-night talk show (albeit a half-hour shorter). In fact, Greg Kinnear thought he'd simply continue Bob Costas's format, and has since said that he was uncomfortable performing for a live audience.
