  • Awesome Music: "SolarOrbit-Connected with the Espabrother" is a beautiful, epic, song that mixes Progressive Metal, Dubstep and symphonic elements.
  • Difficulty Spike: Protoflicker in Main Chapter IV. The more observant players may notice that the chart difficulties are in line with the previous boss song, You are the Miserable, with an Ultra difficulty of 13 and a Master difficulty of 15. It's also not the boss song of the chapter, as you'll find out when you Purify it.
    • Main Chapter V after it is similar - every song except for two have Master 15 charts. The two exceptions? Yukianesa, the first song (Master 14) and SolarOrbit, the Boss Song (Master 16, Ultra 15).
  • Porting Disaster: As time has gone on, the Nintendo Switch port has fallen into this due to the cessation of updates for it. It's a perfectly playable port, but it only features content up to Main Chapter III, which is less than half of the story as of 2022. For many players, this translates to "Why would I spend $15 on a dead version of the game when I can spend $2 on the mobile versions that have more content even without spending money on DLC?" There isn't even any Version-Exclusive Content for the Switch port anymore, as all of its previously-exclusive songs have since been ported to the mobile versions.
  • Shocking Moments:
    • The boss song of Chapter 7: Astaroth. Who expected to see two tuners in one level?
    • While "Aegleseeker" from Arcaea being added to the game wasn't that much of a surprise, what is is the game replicating its Arcaea visual setpiece, where the game pulls a brief fade-out followed by a Dramatic Disappearing Display.
  • That One Boss: On the mobile version, each main chapter ends with a Boss Song, a hard song which requires clearing all the songs before it in order to attempt them. When you attempt them, they are introduced with an animated cutscene, during which you have to decide on what difficulty you're going to attempt to purify them on (Acoustic or Ultra) and what speed you want to use. Take too long to decide, and the Notalium Tuner instantly breaks without you even starting the song. Among these boss songs, three stand out:
    • You are the Miserable (Main Chapter III): See Trick Boss for the lead up to this song, and remember you have to do that every attempt until you purify this song. This song also marks the first time that the notes "scroll backwards" in the Main Story.
    • Stasis (Main Chapter IV): You just purified a song with charts rated in line with the previous boss song (Acoustic 10, Ultra 13, Master 15)? How about one that has the highest difficulty ratings to date: Acoustic 13, Ultra 15, and Master 16
    • SolarOrbit (Main Chapter V): Highest notecount in an Acoustic chart to date (even if it is just rated 10), yet another Ultra 15 / Master 16 song, and a Fake-Out Fade-Out (complete with the Notalium Tuner leaving the screen in the appropriate direction) before what is probably the most difficult 20 seconds in the entire game? Oh, and doing well on that 20 seconds of hell is required in order to even unlock Master, as a Perfect Purified run on Ultra will have exactly 0771301 points at the fakeout, while an A-rank requires 0900000 (out of a possible 1000000).
