• Harsher in Hindsight: In the pilot, Caine is captured,and bound to a tentpole with ropes, include a couple of tight wraps around his neck. David Carradine would eventually die decades later in an auto-erotic asphyxiation accident.
• Memetic Mutation: Martial art masters calling students "grasshopper" originates from this series, as does the famous "When You Snatch the Pebble from my hand..." maneuver, and both went on to have a very long life in Pop Culture Osmosis.
• Retroactive Recognition: In the Latin American Spanish dub, this was the debut roles for both Gabriel Pingarrón and Jose Luis Castañeda as Kwai Chang Caine.
