• Cliché Storm: A shōjo manga featuring a plucky, determined protagonist who transfers to a new school, immediately gets targeted by the resident Alpha Bitch, and develops a crush on one or more boys? Where exactly have we heard that one before? Regardless, it's a case of Tropes Are Not Bad for many, given how the overall result is a very sweet story.
• Diagnosed by the Audience: It's never made clear what illness Anju's grandmother, Fujiko, has. Her symptoms are similar to that of Alzheimer's disease: forgetting what she just said, unable to recognize her granddaughter, mistaking a stranger for her late husband, among other examples.
• Narm: After Akane's big moment of saying she always hated Najika, one of the other bullies looks excited and happily asks her "you hate her too?". It's just so weird to see.
• Tear Jerker: Sora's death, and Najika's reaction to it can be hard to read for anyone who's been in a similiar situation.
