  • Harsher in Hindsight: A similar religion-related controversy erupted with Tekken Tag Tournament 2 a decade later, when it was noted that one of the stage's floors contain the name of Allah, and walking over such representation is considered disrespectful in Middle Eastern cultures. The issue is quickly addressed through an update, and no copies of the game were recalled.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: Fahkumram (and to a lesser extent, Shaheen) in Tekken 7 is basically the culturally sensitive version of Asad.
  • Overshadowed by Controversy: Pretty much the only reason that the game is remembered today is the controversy over the inclusion of Quranic verses in a character's theme music which got the game pulled.
