  • Age: 29
  • Weight: 76 kg (168 lbs)
  • Height: 177 cm (5'9")

Even though he appears to be a "nice guy", Stone has a definite mean streak and ruthlessness when it comes to pit fighting. Leaving the military after an ambush killed his best buddies, he enters the Fist of Fire tournament after hearing rumors Daeva was behind the attack.

  • Hunk: He is based off of a Pretty Boy, after all. He's ruggedly handsome and has a face reminiscent of Brad Pitt!
  • Leitmotif: Merging Planets.
  • Mr. Fixit: Judging from his outfit and stage, one would naturally assume he works in a power plant or furnace shaft, but it is never specifically stated or mentioned.
  • Shout-Out: Intentionally modeled after Tyler Durden from Fight Club.
  • Undercover Cop Reveal: In his ending it's revealed that he had been working for the CIA ever since his friends got killed, aiming to shut down and destroy the Maladinia for good.

Having to move back to Japan with her father, she began to grow restless. Hearing about a secret tournament where the winner can have anything they want, Rena came up with a plan: win the tournament and gain independence from her father. "Borrowing" some cash from her dad, Rena sneaked off to Drasuka Bay to fight in the tournament, and with luck, gain the freedom she so desperately seeks.

Profile
  • Fighting Style: Kung Fu
  • Origin: Hong Kong SAR
  • Age: 37
  • Weight: 170 kg (375 lbs)
  • Height: 195 cm (6'4")

Serving as Daeva's right-hand man, Khan is a sadistic and, quite clearly, insane man who almost seems to enjoy his occupation and his ability to inflict pain on anyone he is ordered to deal with.

  • Acrofatic: Obesity doesn't slow this man down whatsoever.
  • Bald of Evil: As bald as it gets!
  • Evil Is Bigger: 375 lbs of pure evil.
  • Fat Bastard: He's malicious, cruel and enjoys making others suffers by his hand. Reiji can attest to this, as Khan killed his father in a duel they had years ago, as well as Roxy—his former pupil—as he took advantage of her naivety and tortured her until she managed to break free and escape.
  • Gonk: He's as ugly on the inside as he is on the outside.
  • Heavy Voice: Humorously averted. His voice actually gets higher the bigger he gets!
  • Leitmotif: Ode to Speed.
  • The Sociopath: Lacks any emotion in his suffering against others, and even revels in it.
  • Stout Strength: As expected of a right-hand man of Daeva.
  • Villanous Glutton: He's as big as they come, and is very ruthless in his methods of serving the Maladinia.
  • Vocal Dissonance: Judging from his frame, you'd expect him to have a deep, sinister voice, but actually it is amusingly high-pitched and silly.

    Crusher Ramirez
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kakutocrusher_460_4.jpg
"Hey there, sugar~"
"Graaaah! The prize money is mine!!!"

  • Height: 210 cm (6'10")

A professional wrestler who has fought in virtually all parts of the world. However, given the fact that suspended from every major wrestling federation because of his viciousness, he has earned a reputation that no wrestling promoter would willing touch. But now he's found a new home of wrestling in Drasuka where he can release his boundless anger and willingness to do anything to get the win.

  • Masked Luchador: Both of his costumes conceal his identity using masks.
  • Popularity Power: Should he win the tournament, he takes the riches and invests it in his own wrestling association, easily making it the biggest known wrestling scenes in the US.
  • Unnecessary Roughness: His aggressive fighting style, which barred him from nearly every wrestling association on Earth. The only place where he's allowed to run amok and raise is the Fist of Fire tournament.

    Shadow
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/projectkxdemo03_9.jpg
...who is he, exactly?
"You will meet your death here."
Profile
  • Fighting Style: Ninjutsu
  • Origin: Unknown
  • Age: Unknown
  • Weight: Unknown
  • Height: Unknown

Genetically enhanced, a cyborg, or something far darker? Shadow's origins are clouded in mystery. Displaying incredible ninjutsu skills and incredible strength, whatever Shadow is, it's clearly not fully human. With a mask concealing his features, Shadow is a faceless, heartless, merciless force in combat. He is a killer, having slain more fighters than anyone in Drasuka. Whatever the truth is behind Shadow, it's been made abundantly clear he's not one to trifle with.

  • Leitmotif: Kagemusha Call.
  • Long-Lost Relative: To Vittoria.
  • Mysterious Stranger: Virtually everything about Shadow is unknown—his profile information, backstory and motives are all extremely unclear. The only things known for sure about Shadow is that he's a merciless killer, his fighting style is Ninjutsu and that he's Vittoria's brother. That's it.

Beautiful, but deadly.

Profile

  • Origin: U.S.A.
  • Age: 25
  • Weight: 60 kg (132 lbs)
  • Height: 173 cm (5'8")

Roxy's father, a political militant, urged her at an early age to study a variety of martial arts with the best masters all over the world. Khan, her master in Hong Kong, betrayed her trust and tortured her. She escaped, becoming an assassin and mercenary. Currently employed by a Japanese businessman who is actually a crime lord from Maladinia, she still hungers for revenge against Khan. Roxy recently volunteered to search for her boss' daughter in Drasuka, discovering Khan was also there. Entering the tournament, she seeks vengeance against her former master.

  • Dark Action Girl: She's an assassin and mercenary as well as an accomplished martial artist.
  • Femme Fatale: She has a very seductive tone to her, and combined with her ability to lethally end human lives, she is easily this, a beautiful but deadly force to be reckoned with.
  • Good Girl Gone Bad: Possibly how she came to be an assassin and mercenary, thanks to the efforts of Kahn.
  • Leitmotif: Dakir.
  • Light Feminine Dark Feminine: Compared to Rena—her employer's daughter—, Roxy's the dark to Rena's light.
  • Professional Killer: She slays lives for a living, according to her backstory, and gets paid to raise hell.
  • Revenge: Against Khan.
  • Statuesque Stunner: Hailing at 5'8"!
  • Stripperiffic: Her costumes tend to come off as such.

  • Fighting Style: Jeet Kune Do
  • Birthplace: Japan
  • Age: 27
  • Weight: 73 kg (157 lbs)
  • Height: 175 cm (5'8")

Adopted by a Jeet Kune Do master, Reiji fights in the style of the famous Bruce Lee. Growing up learning martial arts from his adoptive father, he never understood why this man had left the city for the countryside. Following his twenty-sixth birthday, Reiji returned home to discover his father being assaulted by a mysterious group of men. His father was brutally murdered before him, and Reiji was hung up and cut like a sacrificial animal. Surviving, though barely, his purpose became vengeance against his attackers. With the police offering no help, Reiji set off on his own. After a year of traveling, Reiji found the picture of the man who had tortured him and murdered his father in a newspaper article describing an underground fighting tournament in Drasuka.

  • Bruce Lee Clone: Reiji sports the slender muscular torso, the acrobatic moves, and the high-pitched screams although he is a Japanese Tomonobu Itagaki lookalike with massive scars all over his body.
  • Covered in Scars: As a result after barely surviving an attack from Kahn and his men.
  • Leitmotif: Can be heard here.
  • Revenge: Against Khan, the man responsible for the attack that killed his father and brutally scarred him.
  • Starting a New Life: After he completes his goal of beating Khan.

    Vegard

Don't. You. Dare. Touch. Him.
Profile
  • Fighting Style: Tae Kwon Do
  • Birthplace: Norway
  • Age: 30
  • Weight: 80 kg (176 lbs)
  • Height: 180 cm (5'9")

"So this is what's behind the Maladinia..."

Born into an upper class Norwegian family, Vegard enjoyed a privileged childhood. His father practiced ancient rituals in the belief that it would help him become even more successful. During his studies, a fortune-teller predicted his son would one day face a great evil that would arise from within. Fearful of his safety, Vegard's parents put him through rigorous academic and physical training. He excelled in taekwondo, though no other students dared face him for fear of injury due to his brutality. Unfortunately, the pressure of his parents' expectancy and the dark destiny foretold caused him to withdraw from the world around him, leaving nothing but his dark thoughts. Vegard became fascinated with a mask kept in his father's art collection—an iron mask depicting the face of a violent, confused soul. Stealing the mask, he wandered the world, wearing it to the point of only being at "peace" with it on. Eventually he found himself in Drasuka, eagerly accepting an invite to an underground tournament.

  • Ax-Crazy: After his disappearance following Maladinia's destruction in his ending, some people who knew him speculate him to have been insane.
  • Cloud Cuckoolander: In his ending, he destroys the Maladinian headquarters for no reason.
  • Driven to Suicide: Given his painful past and struggle to keep his life intact after repressing so many dark thoughts for so long, after the destruction of Maladinia on his part, people who knew him theorized that this could have been his only resort.
  • Leitmotif: The Dream Faktory.
  • Lonely Rich Kid: His childhood for the most part. Because of his strict upbringing, he hardly had any friendly, growing up alone with the comfort of his dark thoughts.
  • Sheltered Aristocrat: He's wealthy, and grew up naive to the ways of the world, consumed and mindful of only the scathingly grim thoughts he feeds himself constantly.

"What a loser."

Raised by a traditional Chinese family, soon falls for the street/gang life after they moved to a northern province. Runs away to join the Fist of Fire tournament after rebelling against his father, in hopes of meeting two fighters, Reiji and Sabre, for whom he is jealous of.

  • The Baby of the Bunch: At 17 years old, he serves as the youngest character of the cast.
  • Bratty Teenage Son: Enters gang life, and when his father catches wind and is about to raise hell, he runs away to the Fist of Fire tournament.
  • Dude, Where's My Respect?: Should he win the tournament, he returns home and excitedly tells everyone the impressive news—only to have his father scold him and move him up north to continue his training with Master Chen, much to Ying's frustration.
  • For Your Own Good: In his ending, his father makes him live with his master to continue his training, most likely to keep him out of the gang life and as penance for shaming his family name once again.
  • Street Urchin: Becomes more into one after moving up north.
  • Underdogs Never Lose: Played straight if he wins the tournament. The game will even lampshade this by calling his victory "unexpected."
  • "Well Done, Son" Guy: There's implications of this that Ying has for his father.

    Daeva
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hqdefault_646.jpg
The Big Bad of Maladinia

The heiress of the Maladinia. As inhuman as she appears, it is uncertain if she is a demon, a mythical beast or some other unholy creature—but it is very clear that she is evil incarnate. She hosts the tournament in order to gather strong fighting souls for the Maladinia to take hold of.

  • Big Bad: The game's antagonist and culprit behind the events of the tournament.
  • Leitmotif: Can be heard here.
