• Jerkass Woobie: Richard, if you think really hard about his family situation. Poor guy's not just obese, but lives with two obese parents who stuff him all winter, then ship him off to fat camp for the summer and proceed to stuff him again when he gets home.
• The Woobie: It's hard not to feel sorry for Ned, especially at the beginning of the book.
