YMMV / House Flipper

Go To

  • Artificial Difficulty: The controls for placing objects are frustratingly fiddly. Given that they barely give you additional precision compared to (say) the Sims games, all they really do is make missions take a lot longer to finish.
  • Contested Sequel: Many longtime players have found issue with the changes between the first and second game. A few of the main complaints include:
    • Missing Before/After pics after finishing jobs (originally included in the HGTV DLC).
    • Much fewer furniture options.
    • No gardening tools (originally from the Garden Flipper DLC).
    • Simplified auction system. No longer will potential sellers comment on what they like/dislike about the house, nor will you be able to cater to their specific tastes, buyers will just make an offer and you can accept or refuse it.
    • No empty lots to build a house from scratch.
  • Scrappy Mechanic: Tiling and paneling were the bane of many early game players. The player could only hold one panel or tile at a time and had to go back to pick up more between each use. Thankfully the Cyberpunk Flipper update also added the ability to hold 10 tiles/panels at a time, easing this issue.
  • That One Level: Selling a house to Chang Choi is unusually difficult by account of having almost the same interests in housing as Dolan Trusk; pursuing Chang is less about making a house that appeals to him and more about making something that Dolan hates.
