• Hilarious in Hindsight: When talking about The American Civil War, Mel Brooks jokingly states that he's talking about the one in the 1860s, not the one coming in 2024. A24 is actually doing Civil War (2024).
• So Okay, It's Average: Like many later-career Mel Brooks projects, this can be pretty funny at times but fails to be as utterly gutbusting as his output at his peak. Granted, he didn’t direct, but his creative involvement and Homage aspects are worn proudly on their sleeves.
