• Catharsis Factor: After everything Queen has done, including turning the Spade Pirates into robotic slaves and torturing Ace, it's immensely satisfying when Chapter 47 reveals that Kaido beat him to a merciless pulp for his unintentional role in Yamato's escape, to the point of where he can't even walk unassisted and is subjected to regular treatments that will ensure his recovery will be as painful as possible.
• Harsher in Hindsight:
  • In this story, Yamato succeeds in leaving Wano with Izuku's help and gets to live the dream of freely exploring the world. However in One Piece canon, Yamato couldn’t leave due to Wano is in danger from other hostile parties such as Admiral Ryokugyu who gave Yamato, the Nine Red Scabbards and Momonosuke in his Dragon form a really hard time before Shanks made him retreat, and had to stay behind and protect Wano.
  • In One Piece canon, the people of Wano have no problem with Yamato despite being a child of Kaido and like her (so far). However in this story, they’re beginning to (wrongfully) hate Yamato and Izuku for unleashing hell on Wano from Kaido and the Beast Pirates, who assumed the two were hiding there.
• Memetic Mutation: "Princess Thief" Izuku^Explanation Early in the fic's run, an omake dropped labeling Izuku the "Princess Thief", depicting him as (either on accident or on purpose) gathering up a harem of women who happened to be royalty or the daughters of powerful people like Kaido or Shanks. While Word of God has said no to harem antics, when Chapter 55 dropped and had Vinsmoke Reiju joining Izuku and Yamato, combined with the interactions he already had with Yamato and Uta the Princess Thief label appeared all the more fitting.
