- Fight Scene Failure: Theseus doesn't really fight Minotaur. He simply runs away until Minotaur activates a trap and gets injured by spears, and only then does Theseus stab him.
- Glurge: Being the first Happy Science animated movie, it is filled to the brim with this two halves of the way through. This is showcased in the scenes where Hermes enters Heaven with Pan and Agape, who explain to him that fairies are the ones that decide the aspect of flowers and halos appear on really happy people and animals. When he dives into a magical lake connected to all Earth's oceans, all fishes and sea life start singing a schmaltzy musical number about a "land of happiness" and how a smile can make everyone happy. When he returns to the shore, he finds a weeping mermaid named Delmone who explains that her kind needs humans to love the sea and strive to protect its beauty so they can live.
- Visual Effects of Awesome: Ophealis' introductory shot is awe-inducing as he starts off as a swirling pillar of light before revealing himself to Hermes.
