- Common Knowledge: The climax with possessed, murderous Suck E. Cheese's animatronics is sometimes confused to be a deliberate Shout-Out to Five Nights at Freddy's, but this episode was written a year before the game released. Plus, Five Nights at Freddy's had only been out for about six weeks, and given how long animation takes, it is quite literally impossible that it had any effect on the production of this episode. The whole thing is simply a massive coincidence.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: A red-haired character in a dating simulator falls in love with the player, is incredibly possessive and perfectly willing to Murder the Hypotenuse, is a severe case of The Fourth Wall Will Not Protect You, and is only stopped when said player erases her game data. Are we talking about Romance Academy 7 or Doki Doki Literature Club!?
- As mentioned above, the possessed Suck E. Cheese's animatronics trying to kill the protagonists premise feels like a reference to Five Nights at Freddy's despite releasing a year earlier.
- Realism-Induced Horror: .GIFfany is scary enough as a killer AI who's unhealthily attached to Soos, but the emotional abuse and manipulation she inflicts on Soos adds a darker edge.
