- Good Bad Bugs: During the Disco Season event from August 2020, it could happen that the game doesn't register correctly that you accepted the levelup reward, allowing you to take it twice.
- Obscure Popularity: Hundreds of millions of players have played the game, despite it rarely making headlines in the gaming news.
- Overshadowed by Controversy: Outside of fans of casual games, this game is better known for its misleading advertising (popularizing the infamous "WHY IS THIS GAME SO HARD" style of advertising among others) than any of its own merits. The ubiquity of such advertising has also not done it any favors, and has even gotten Playrix into trouble
(not that it's stopped them in the long run). Its spin-offs and imitators continue the trend of controversy, this time by having ads with explicit Downer Endings featuring things like homelessness, onscreen harm to both women and children alike or death, and a generally incompetent "player" causing it all to happen. With this, again, having many imitators and unrelated games and apps advertise the same way with worse results and incurring an even larger backlash against everyone using it to advertise their products.
