• Harsher in Hindsight: White rhinos are shown in the dome-like back of the Encyclopod alongside extinct species like thylacines, dodos, and striped biologist-taunters. After March 2018, viewers may recognize them as northern white rhinos, which have been declared functionally extinct after the death of the last male of the subspecies.
• Padding: Aside from a few scenes setting up Fry's mind-reading powers and the Feministas, the first "episode" of the movie is almost entirely dedicated to a subplot involving the Robot Mafia, with said subplot going nowhere and being completely irrelevant to the rest of the storyline.
