• Magnificent Bastard (2010 animated movie): This version of Belloc, King of the Kaiju, waged war upon mankind to reclaim Earth for his race, until he fell in love with a soldier, Margaret Rosenblatt, and thus called off his crusade. Desiring an heir to rule over the Kaiju, he tracks down his hybrid son Duncan to train in life-threatening exercises, urging him to become more ruthless and terrorizing one of his friends to unleash his Kaiju rage. Once spotted by a hostile human army, Belloc surrenders himself to remain close and protect Duncan from his rivals, Abaddon and Astaroth, when they inevitably try to overthrow him. Breaking himself out of prison and teaming up with his family to fight the invasive Kaiju, Belloc is impressed when Duncan non-lethally incapacitates them. He gracefully accepts his choice to remain in the human world as their protector, resubmitting himself to captivity so that he can remain close to his loved ones.
