- Hilarious in Hindsight: Caleb Williams' ad in 2023 featured him being dismissive of superstitions and curses, with direct nods to the Sports Illustrated and Madden NFL jinxes. When the ad started airing, Williams' team, USC, was 6-0 and Williams was a top Heisman candidate. USC would go 1-5 the rest of the regular season (they won their bowl game... with Williams sitting out) and Williams wouldn't finish anywhere near the top of the Heisman voting. Seems the curses got him after all.
