• Broken Base: Peter beating the stuffing out of Kyle. Some fans thought Peter was justified and that Kyle had it coming for the way he treated Chris. Others thought Peter was out of line and that Lois had every right to be upset at him for doing so; as much of a jerk as Kyle was, he's only a teenager, and beating up a teenager for calling you names when you're an adult is not just Disproportionate Retribution, it's illegal.
• Crosses the Line Twice: Peter bullying Meg by chasing her around and farting in her face. She drops to the floor and throws up... and then Peter scolds her with "Oh, in the kitchen, Meg?"
• Harsher in Hindsight: The cutaway gag of Britney Spears being an irresponsible mother, especially after she lost custody of her children in the midst of a very public breakdown in 2007.
• Nausea Fuel: Peter farts in Meg's face repeatedly while she's eating, to the point that she throws up.
• Unintentional Period Piece: Stewie recreates a TaB commercial by holding a can and slowly looking toward the viewer with a grin. TaB was discontinued in 2020.
