• Angst? What Angst?: While this episode is essentially just a series of jabs at Meg even after her "death", she remains optimistic sans complaining about her terrible life.
• Crosses the Line Twice: Meg being left for dead and her life flashing before her eyes? Both horrific and heartbreaking. The flashbacks including pretty much every character except her, much to her annoyance? Hilarious.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Joe mentions levelling up in Fortnite the weekend prior to Meg's 'death'. 3 years later, Peter Griffin would be added to the game after several memes and eventual unironic popular demand.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: Meg's new group of friends completely disappear from the plot in the middle of the episode.
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: On top of all their previous abuse and neglect, the Griffins seriously mistook Meg for a barrel with her hat, making it a bit difficult to buy their grief (especially from Lois) over her supposed death.
• Values Dissonance: Parodied when Meg scores a strike at a bowling alley and some racially insensitive animations play on the display screen. Bruce, the owner of the bowling alley, says that they forgot to update the animations.
