YMMV / FBI: International

Go To

  • Aluminium Christmas Trees: The FBI has international offices attached to American embassies and consulates, whose main purpose is to coordinate efforts with foreign law enforcement agencies. If an American agency is involved in a crime investigation abroad for some reason, it is usually FBI. Obviously, the main Artistic License is that all this work is condensed in a single Five-Man Band, like in every other Police Procedural.
  • Complete Monster: See here.
  • Spiritual Successor:
    • To Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders. Both portray a FBI flying team that responds to incidents concerning American national security or law enforcement in foreign countries. Unlike Beyond Borders, the team is stationed in Hungary rather than the US. Incidentally, actress Alana de la Garza from Beyond Borders plays another FBI agent in International's parent series.
    • The show also has some elements in common with Crossing Lines, another series about international crimefighters, albeit with officers seconded to Interpol.
