• Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • Rainbow's mother Firefly abandoned her when she was a child. This is more or less the exact opposite of the super-supportive and overly loving and devoted mother we got in the show. Of course, if she stayed the Zero Division would’ve killed both her, Rainbow, and her husband, so she probably would've done that even if she was more like Windy.
  • In this story, Applejack's mother is the one with the apple related name while her father doesn't. In the show, however, the opposite is true. The same thing goes for Applejack's hat.
  • The Grand Fisher mocks Applejack how he killed her father and turned him into a Hollow and wants to prove he's telling the truth about Soul Sociaty's involvement in his death by tracking him down. Said Hollow is now the Fourth Espada, and seeing as he's quite Ax-Crazy and remembers everything up to his death, would very likely kill the Grand Fisher on sight if he actually did that.
• I Knew It!: Quite a few fans guessed that the Fourth Espada Lament is really Applejack's father Hard Nail long before he made his first physical appearance.
• Unexpected Character: Who'd of thought human Trixie would be a Bount? Or Cheese Sandwich would be a Soul Reaper, let alone a captain?
  • Considering his daughter goes to Canterlot High, who would expect Filthy Rich to be one of the Quincy, let alone one of the Sternritter?
