  • Maud using her incredible strength and an Improvised Weapon or two to fend off minor Hollows despite not being able to see them directly. In the end, the Hollows are running from her.
  • Spike biting a renegade Quincy trying to assassinate Twilight.
  • Adagio using her siren song to defeat Jester Face by making his minions devour each other, along with him eating some, then eating him herself, ascending to Vasto Lorde by feeding on the negative energy and souls, forming a lake in the barren wastes of Los Noches in the process.
  • Garble performing a Heroic Sacrifice to save Ember by tricking the Quincy attacking them and Adagio, who has paralyzed them, into killing him, causing him to drop a Caja Negacion cube into his Hollow hole as he dies, trapping her.
  • Adagio taking the plunge and becoming an Arrancar, despite the risk doing it the "normal" way, because Ember has been captured by Luna, Cheerilee, and Nocturne. Unfortunately, she isn't able to stop them from taking her.
  • Adagio using her Gargantas to hold back a berserk Twilight's outpouring of weaponized portals until Sombra can arrive and stabilize things.
  • When petitioning for a position among the Espada, Adagio opts to be tested by Tirek to determine her rank, with the test consisting of Tirek letting out a portion of his massive spiritual power. She ends up as the new Sixth Espada.
  • Gilda tries to assassinate Sunset, only for the latter to fight back before Adagio intervenes.
  • Adagio getting Grogar to embarrass himself by making him show his recording of his fight with Pinkie Pie to the other Espada under the guise of gaining tactical information, then standing up to his attempts to force her to hand over the Seed.
  • Maud releases her Fullbring to spar with the CMC, and it’s clear that she’s no slouch in the spirit energy department either.
  • The sahuagin the heroes captured getting a villainous one for refusing to divulge any information. Even using mind magic on it gives little-to-no useful intelligence due to its alien thought processes.
  • Trixie, despite complaining about the difficulty the whole time, manages to learn the spell for the underwater forms the heroes are using.
  • The magic users of the team working together to create an illusion of one of the sahuagin's giant eels to hide their approach to Aqualania, which seems to work.
  • Twilight's group successfully capturing a sahuagin to interrogate with Starlight's mind magics.
  • Tempest attacks Morgawr's group to create a distraction for the others, and Starlight intervening when he turns out to have a magic-absorbing trident.
  • Aria and Sonata managed to escape their cell by the time the rescue party finds them.
  • To get Tirek to agree to open an embassy for the Canterlot Spirit Coalition, Sunset has to fight him and get him to draw his sword. Not only does she succeed, but said fight is suitably epic.
  • Cloudy Quartz calling out both Sombra and Scorpan, two of the most powerful beings on the planet, for acting like either of their sides has any moral high ground in the Forever War.
  • Glory and Scorpan's battle is suitably epic. While the latter ultimately loses, he manages to get some good hits in, temporarily putting Glory out of commission.
  • The spell that Twilight cast on Rarity right before she was Dragged Off to Hell turns out to have been the one used to create the journal that Sunset uses to communicate with Princess Twilight, allowing the girls to communicate with their Hell-Bound friend.
  • A villainous example, but Grogar's apparently made some serious progress with his Siren Gem experiments, allowing him to fend off Fenice's attack much easier than he should have.
  • Fenice unlocking the power of her "Phantom Blade", which is apparently connected to Tyr. She then proceeds to kick Pharynx's ass.
  • Rarity unlocking her Sinner power, holding off Typhon enough that he decides not to pursue them.
