YMMV / ENIGMA: An Illusion Named Family

• Too Bleak, Stopped Caring:
  • The more you learn about what Minhyuk's family has put him through and the more halluncination-induced Flashbacks you see of their behavior towards each other, the more one's likely to wonder why he's trying so hard to save them.
  • It certainly doesn't help that out of all the endings, not a single one ends happily for Minhyuk or lets him save anyone. Failure Is the Only Option indeed.
• The Woobie:
  • Minhyuk. After his father drowned rescuing him, he's been left wallowing in guilt, watching his family's downward spiral and blaming himself for it. His own mother agrees with that and has been strangling him almost every night for the past ten years. Whenever his attempts to save his family don't work out, he blames himself for that as well. The True Ending Path reveals that he's a Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds.
  • Poor Yun-a's birth parents abandoned her, then wormed their way back into her life after learning she'd been adopted by a rich family. Samoon discovered she was sending them money and used that to blackmail her into an intimate relationship with Minho, and was assaulting her on the side. Her main route also makes her a Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds.
