  • Ass Pull: The solution to the main plot. Specifically, Chibi-chan turning out to be a goddess and simply eating the concept of "demon" out of Mao.
  • Memetic Mutation: From episode 3, Mei's "No" response when asked if she wear Cartado she picked up from the group, and her "No" response when asked if a similar case happened with rare Cartado. Particularly because her eyes in that scene resemble a common expression of another Inori Minase-voiced character.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot:
    • While the rest received episodes that either developed their character or offered world building experiences, Seira's episode instead involves dealing with a monster that invades the dreams of her friends and doesn't really add anything new to her character.
    • The first few episodes have some wickedly funny parodies of RPG tropes, but that aspect is pretty much abandoned as soon as Princess Rona joins the cast and it becomes more generic Moe fantasy fare.
  • The Woobie: Mao after episode 6 which reveals her past as the Demon lord. Essentially the sacrifice on whom all the cool things that the shows setting has been built upon. Mao's life has been a constant cycle of awakening, terrorizing, dying, and repeating the process with no end on sight. With Yusha's bumbling essentially being her Rage Breaking Point. Now trapped in the past and aware that if she becomes the demon lord she will suffer a Fate Worse than Death she essentially abandons her previous life and decides to live as a schoolteacher. But even then she has to live in constant fear of her past catching up to her. Essentially forcing her back into a miserable lonely life and death simply Because Destiny Says So.
