- Hilarious in Hindsight: A non-canon side comic produced in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic has Madeline demanding to her mother that she and Dad make another baby after seeing two of her friends (both siblings) outside together. Sure enough, they did.
- Paranoia Fuel: Due to the Nothing Is Scarier trope, multiple readers have said that the comic seems almost TOO wholesome; they get the feeling that something horribly wrong is happening (or will happen) on a grander scale to completely shatter Emmy’s cutesy, 1950’s-era status quo to bits. This is fueled by concept art◊ posted by Dominic before the comic began and the comic Assimilating, where Emmy is seen with an arm replacement and being accompanied by a teenager named Darcy, who wasn't been introduced in the story when it was published. The following comics after Madeline's birthday preparations, proved those fears justified as Emmy ruins Madeline's birthday due to a malfunction in her arm, is sent to the robot hospital and accidentally flees said hospital upon hearing from the doctors that they are considering shutting her down permanently, very likely now to be marked as a rebel outmodel and ending up on the poorer town where Darcy lives.
- Recurring Fanon Character: Lulu, a decommisioned Nandroid that someone found broken in an alley and is trying to prevent from being taken away for being an Outmode. She originated from a 4Chan post, and garnered a considerable following and a good amount of fanart.
