- Ascended Fanon: Much like in A Darker Path, the author is willing to canonize stuff suggested by the readers he likes. For example, Riley (Bonesaw in canon) is instead a Rogue healer called Nurse Joy, who keeps Pokémon-like animals as her pets.
- Catharsis Factor: While it was wrong, most people enjoyed seeing Taylor destroy Winslow High with her powers.
- Moral Event Horizon:
- While Sophia was already a corrupt bully, she finally crossed the line when she tried to murder Danny to frame Taylor as a villain she could defeat. And this was after promising Madison and Emma she would lay off Taylor, even abandoning them during a raid on the Empire so they wouldn't get in her way.
- And when they thwart her at the last second and saved Danny, she then doubles down by going after Emma's parents to hold them hostage so as to force Emma to kill Danny and thus have blackmail to hold over them all. All because she's driven to win.
