• Accidental Innuendo: After hearing that Glomgold's horse's number is 2, Scrooge laughs and jokes that "Number 2" is appropriate for his arch-enemy's horse. While he was probably referring to the fact that Glomgold's always second best, it sounded like saying that his horse was crap.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: As the boys watch Webby throw fruits at two bullies who were harassing Milady's owner, making them run away, Huey claims that "that kid has a lot of potential". Looks like the creator of the reboot agreed with him.
• Recycled Script: A horse running at the sound of a bugle and later Bull Weevil's voice before stopping at the finish line to pose for a picture and end up losing is very similar to the plot of one episode of Top Cat where a similar situation happens.
