• Awesome Music:
  • The title card music has a smooth, funky beat.
  • The theme for when Hyde first emerges has a nice sense of urgency and a sinister vibe, with a cool trumpet part.
• Memetic Mutation: "HENRY! OH MY GOD!"^note Dr. Lanyon's reaction to learning that Jekyll and Hyde are the same person sharing a body. Phelous ran with it in a few videos, even comparing it to Lion and the King's famous "MY GOD!" scene.
• Narm: One of Hyde's murders has him stomping on the victim, which is implied to be what killed him; an unusually cartoony death compared to the others.
• Nightmare Fuel: What more can be expected from a movie that opens with a terrified scream?
  • Hyde's murders are usually offscreen or obscured by camera tricks, but they could not have been pretty. He beats one man to death on-screen (though via Shadow Discretion Shot) with his cane, and another one of his victims is simply yanked off screen, with what he did to her unknown.
  • Jekyll tries to get rid of Hyde with a new potion, but this fails and instead results in a painful, offscreen scream.
  • When the staff at Jekyll's manor are trying to work out the mystery, they hear another scream of agony from upstairs. Two men break the door down only to find Hyde's corpse at the desk, Dies Wide Open.
