YMMV / Donald Duck: Goin' Qu@ckers

  • Awesome Music:
    • The N64 and PC soundtracks are quite atmospheric. The latter has more elaborate sound, but the 64 one is more melodious.
    • The Playstation soundtrack had a different soundtrack altogether with fewer but absolutely bombtastic songs, which were retained for the PS2 and Gamecube remakes.
  • Broken Base: The game has been criticized for being short and too easy, but has also been praised for having fun gameplay and tons of Mythology Gags.
  • Catharsis Factor: Any longtime Disney Ducks Comic Universe fan who's gotten sick and tired of Gladstone and his ill-deserved, but perpetual lucky streak no doubt had a field day with this game's treatment of him. Long story short, he finally got subjected to the same level of misery that Donald has endured since the 1930s.
  • Good Bad Bugs: It seems that Magica De Spell's boss music has a tendency to glitch out regardless of which version of the PS1 game being playednote , and as a result Magica's spellcasting (mumbling nonsense) is the closest thing to background music.
  • No Problem with Licensed Games: These days it enjoys a reputation as a surprisingly polished Crash Bandicoot clone with good controls, gameplay, excellent music and great references.
  • Polished Port: The PC version with mods stands out among the rest being the only one to run at 60FPS and the highest resolution compared to other versions not counting the PS2/GC remake. Speaking of which the GameCube version is the only console version that runs at a smooth 60FPS and a higher resolution compared to other versions including the PS2.
  • That One Boss: Magica De Spell in the Nintendo 64, Dreamcast and PC versions. She summons pumpkin monsters that you have to push back into the bottomless pit with your melee attack, then you have to jump on the coffins and stay on the one where the yellow light stopped to avoid taking damage from spikes and then kick the energy orbs that she shoots to make her vulnerable. The main issue is that Donald's melee attacks have very short range and he will take damage if he jumps on top of the pumpkins, and since he dies in two hits, there's constant trial and error to win the boss battle. The other versions have the ghostly minions instead, and they aren't as annoying as the pumpkins.
