• They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: While Davros not being in his life-support system here can be justified by the scene being set before the events of "Genesis of the Daleks", many fans objected when Russell T Davies said he felt the Evil Cripple "Davros of old" equated disability with evil and therefore the life-support system had to go. This was felt to be an overcorrection that reworked a long established antagonist of the show to fit the values of the 2020s.
