• Ass Pull: The English dub has Sora's cousin who just so happens to spot the DigiDestined. It also turns out that he drives a minivan that can accommodate them all.

• Values Dissonance:
  • The original version had the kids being picked up by a stranger while hitchhiking. Possibly in an attempt to quell the worries of kids getting into cars with strangers, the English dub changed it to Sora's cousin Duane giving them a ride.
  • During Matt's attempt to hitchhike, a woman suggestively invites him into her convertible. That wouldn't fly, no matter what country it's set in today.
