• Nightmare Fuel:
  • A number of episodes ramp up the creepiness factor to 11. In particular are the Ghosts of Chernobyl where the crew investigates the radioactive ruins near Prypiat, Ukraine. The Aokigahara Forest in Japan were numerous people have committed suicide. And the Hoia Baciu Forest in Romania.
  • On an entire island full of Creepy Dolls in Mexico, ONE OF THEM BLINKS! It then looks directly at Josh. He responds by bailing, and no one can blame him.
  • The Aisha Kandisha (Moroccan Succubus) episode gave some viewers quite a nightmare. you'll never hear the sound of dragging chains the same ever again.
  • Hoia Baciu Forest in Romania. Dear God, HOIA BACIU FOREST. The place where heavy winds suddenly materialized and forced their plane to make an emergency landing on both visits. The place a crew member minding his own business was grab and thrown through the air around 20-30 feet by something invisible, leaving him unconscious with what looked like wounds from claws under his clothes, before the medic treating him became ill and vomited for no apparent reason. The place that, when they returned with that same crew member who wanted answers, forced them to leave again when he suddenly started bleeding from the ears.
• Replacement Scrappy: Every season there is a new attractive female investigator to provide some Fanservice. So far there has been Lindsay, Araceli, Ryder, Jael, Ali, and then back to Ryder. Each girl has their fans and they are vocal about wanting them to return to replace the "annoying" new girl. Especially when it was learned on their trip to Antarctica that Jael was a fan of The Twilight Saga, which Josh was quick to mock.
