* UnintentionallySympathetic: Near the end of Log 25, Chris and Alex angrily abandon Noah Maxwell at the beach Slender Man teleports them to due to him accidentally revealing who their identities are to the Order. While it is true that Noah blurting out their names is an awful thing that has very dire consequences, the fact that he's stranded in a completely foreign place just because he justifiably cracked under the pressure of what happened at the time seems downright cruel, and makes Chris and Alex's decision [[UnintentionallyUnsympathetic come across as petty and selfish]]. The creators noted that the events of that video received a lot of backlash at the time it was uploaded because of Chris and Alex's reactions.

*CompleteMonster: [[ThoseWackyNazis Dr. Hans Freuhauf]], a long-deceased follower of the Slender Man, serves as the PredecessorVillain to the Order. Equal parts a Nazi MadScientist and an [[{{Ghostapo}} occultist]], Freuhauf satisfied his obsession for the Slender Man by experimenting on the detainees of the Belsen [[POWCamp concentration camp]], elongating their limbs to make them resemble his idol. Defecting to the US during Operation Paperclip and appointed as the director of the Princeton Experiment, Freuhauf performed many sacrifices in his attempts to open a portal to the Fourth World, ultimately resulting in the Slender Man massacring the staff of the Atlantic Test Site.

One day, to get good crops, he made a DealWithTheDevil for a HumanSacrifice. He honored this deal by killing drifters who came looking for work. When his pregnant wife found out about his crimes, he made her his next sacrifice. This was his undoing, as two police officers came to investigate her disappearance and found her body.
