YMMV / CORPSE FACTORY

Go To

  • Ass Pull: The reveal that Kojiro is actually Nobel Sinclair comes out of nowhere at the last minute, and doesn't really add much to the story.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: The Human Removal Service is introduced as competitors to Corpse Girl's services, and soon prove to be much more effective than her. They're built up as antagonists, with questions as to how they work and how they're so successful being raised. Some of these are explained once the story's perspective switches to Aoi - they're a large group and most of their members commit murder, explaining how they're so successful - but from here no real information is revealed about them. Who runs them and what their goals are are never explained, and they slowly cease to have much relevance to the plot.
    • As another example, in one of the few player choices in the game, it's possible for them to forge a bond with Aoi as Noriko. Given that Aoi ends up being a major antagonist who secretly wants to take over Noriko's life, you'd think that this would affect the later parts of the story greatly. Instead, all that it does is affect the specific ending the player gets.
