• Values Dissonance: Harold redirecting his mother-in-law's company towards gimmicky gadgets like digital watches, doors that open by clapping, and home security cameras is supposed to show that he's an incompetent businessman in addition to being a philanderer. With those technologies becoming commonplace over the next few decades Harold instead seems prophetic. A cheating asshole, sure, but prophetic.
